Welcome to the FB4K Detroit bike application page – we’re accepting organization applications for our bike distribution in December 2026!

If you’re a representative of a qualifying organization (click here for the requirements to qualify as a partner with FB4K – typically faith-based groups, neighborhood groups or schools qualify), the first step is to click the button at the bottom of this page to complete an organization application which will let us know a little about yourself and your group. Note we are not able to provide bikes to individuals, but if you are part of one of the types of organizations listed above please encourage a representative of the group to submit an application on behalf of your kids as well as other kids in that group.

After we receive the completed form our Bike Recipient Coordinator will reach out to you to acknowledge receipt of it. The next step after we confirm your organization’s eligibility to receive bikes is that we’ll send you a bike worksheeet in late September or early October that you’ll need to complete and return to us.

In order to serve as many organizations as possible with our limited resources, this year we will limit bike orders to no more than 150 per organization with a priority given to smaller orders. And, because of our short window of distributing bikes between mid November and mid December, we will limit the number of bike recipient groups to 40. We will continue to give preference to organizations that are based in the city of Detroit.

Note that we cannot guarantee that your group will receive bikes if you apply for them, but we do our best to distribute bikes to as many qualifying organizations as possible.

There are a lot of kids who need bikes. We’re pedaling as fast as we can to fix that. We give our bikes away through a network of community organizations, churches and schools. These partner organizations help us put tires on the ground.
Unfortunately, we cannot give bikes directly to individual families and we only give bikes to kids under 18 years of age.
