Bike Collection Day Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in signing up to be a volunteer for FB4K’s big bike collection event this year! Our collection day is on Saturday, September 30 and Home Depot will be collecting bikes on our behalf at 9 of their stores across Southeast Michigan; in addition, we will have 4 additional sites that are collecting bikes for FB4K. This is a big day for the kids in our community as it’s the first step in thousands of them receiving a shiny bike before the holidays!
We have two volunteer shifts on collection day this year, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, as we’ll be unloading bikes from our UHaul trucks all day long.
The morning shift is from 10:30am to 1:30pm.
The afternoon shift is from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.
Just read the waiver below and click the button at the bottom and a calendar will open to allow you to schedule one of those shifts on September 30th. Thanks again for helping a child in need in our community get a bike with a helmet this Christmas – you’ll never know what a difference you’ve made in their life!

VOLUNTEER LIABILITY RELEASE FORM
In consideration of my desire to serve as a volunteer for Free Bikes 4 Kidz – Detroit I hereby assume all responsibility for any and all risk of property damage or bodily injury that I may sustain while participating in any voluntary event or other activity of any nature.
Further, I, for myself and my heirs and assigns, hereby release and discharge Free Bikes 4 Kidz – Detroit and its officers, directors, employees and volunteers of and from any and all claims which I may have against any of the above arising in connection with such volunteer efforts or my participation therein, and hereby waive all such claims, demands and causes of action.
Further, I expressly agree that this release, waiver and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the State of Michigan, and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
Also, I hereby grant permission to Free Bikes 4 Kidz – Detroit to use my likeness, whether through the use of photographs, film, videotape, or other media, for promotional and marketing purposes.
I currently have no known mental or physical condition that would impair my capability for full participation as intended or expected of me.
Further, I have carefully read the foregoing release and indemnification and understand the contents thereof and sign this release as my own, free act.
