Pedaling Philanthropy

We are grateful for the incredible support of over 9,100 individuals who have volunteered their time over the last seven years to help us clean and repair 14,614 bikes to give away to kids in our community. We’ve got thousands of bikes in the warehouse and we’ll need around 2,000 volunteers to repair our goal of 3,000 bikes – c’mon help us get a child in our community on a shiny bike!

If you would like to volunteer as an individual to refurbish bikes any day from Sept. 29 – Dec. 4, skip down to the bottom of this page and answer the question about your bike mechanic experience (none required!), agree to the waiver that pops up and then you can schedule a shift based on your bike repair skills, from none to expert mechanic. Note that we have all the bike tools you’ll need to do your job.

If you’d like to sign up for a shift with a group of friends or a work group, you can do so by emailing our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@fb4kdetroit.org and they will help you pick a date that works for your team.
