Pandemic, step aside. FB4K Detroit had our annual bike collection day on Saturday, October 3. This year’s collection sponsors included Home Depot stores for the first time in addition to the customary Henry Ford Health System medical centers that have been stalwarts of bike collection day the last 2 years. Despite the difficult circumstances – facemasks required, social distancing, etc. – donors came out in force to give those outgrown bikes in their garages a second life with a child in need and keep them out of the landfill. If you missed our big collection event you can bring your bikes directly to our warehouse at 411 Piquette Ave. in Detroit anytime during these hours: M-Th 8a-5p, Fri 9a-3p and Sat. 10a-1p. Thank you Detroit for giving underserved kids a chance to experience the joy, excitement and freedom of bike ownership!
